Please consult with your healthcare provider before using topical Magnesium if you have any doubts if this right for you. We suggest use of our products for adults with normal kidney function (because transdermal Magnesium may increase your urine output).

In our experience, we have used it on ourselves first, and then our kids (ages 2+). We went through almost the whole bottle (between the two of us) in one day to see what would happen (because research claims that overuse is not a concern with transdermal use), and the result for us was excess urine output. We used it every hour, after every cup of coffee, and anything we consumed that had sugar (because Magnesium leeches on to sugar and caffeine molecules in our bodies and prevents them from entering the cells that need them).

For the kiddos, they got (and still get) one pump for both feet if they are under 5 years, and one pump per foot if over 5 years. If the older kids have too much sugar, they will get a pump to massage into their forearm after the sweet indulgence.

We recommend using our products within 6 months of initial use, but all ingredients used in the product have an expiration date of 12-24 months. We have never had a customer not use up their bottle in 45 days or less, so we suggest 6 months just to be safe. Our formulation includes a preservative that is effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast and mold (while also free of parabens and formaldehyde). Choosing to use a preservative was a no-brainer after learning about the potential harm that can come from an unpreserved product. We reached out to the manufacturer of the preservative we chose and learned they classify it as a broad spectrum, natural preservative. In the future, we will test other preservatives to see how they compare, but this one provides excellent protection against harmful microbes, and that is exactly what we wanted!

We use a top-tier, high quality, heavy metal-free Magnesium Chloride, and will never change that to increase profits. We want to bring you what we want for ourselves- the best quality at the best price.

The decision for our packaging came down to supporting the preservation of our formula in an airless bottle and keeping shipping costs as low as possible. We noticed the product degraded over time when we used a glass jar, so our best option was to use a durable, high quality, non-leaching, BPA-free plastic. We will continue to explore packaging options and deliver the best to you.
